The ethical issues surrounding human brain organoid research are becoming more pressing as technology to generate these organoids improves. In an article for Science, Braingeneers member Henry Greely argues that it is critical that we establish an international process to watch and guide the progress in organoid research. This process would collect information about research involving human neural organoids and assembloids, and their transplantation into nonhuman animals while promoting discussion on ethics and policy issues and offering guidance.
